Real-time IoT visibility for pumps serving critical infrastructure - accessible from any device, in any location.
Pump problems in essential infrastructure – including plumbing and sanitary systems, drainage pits and sump pump stations – are often discovered only after flooding, overflow or equipment damage has already occurred. Minerva’s Smart Pump Monitoring System gives facilities teams and infrastructure operators continuous visibility of pump operating status, fault conditions and tank or sump pit levels through remote monitoring on the YAVA IoT Cloud platform.
Using cellular communication, the system connects to existing pump control panels through a purpose-built IoT interface panel. Operating signals are sent continuously to the YAVA cloud, where they can be viewed through a web dashboard and mobile app for Android and iOS. Routine checks no longer require a technician to be physically present on site.
The system reads critical operating signals from the pump control panel and converts them into a clear operational view for remote users:
Parameter | Description |
Pump Run Status | Shows whether each pump is currently operating or stopped |
Pump Trip/Fault Status | Identifies pump trips, faults or abnormal stop conditions |
Tank / Sump Pit High Levels | Raises an alert when water level reaches a high or overflow threshold |
Tank Low Levels | Generates a critical alarm when water tanks fall below the defined low level |
Other points can be added to suit each site. The same system can be scaled to monitor several pumps, tanks or sump pits within one installation.
The monitoring arrangement uses a simple three-layer architecture:
FIELD | Sump Pump Panel -> Custom IoT Interface Panel Run/stop, trip and level signals are wired from the existing pump panel into Minerva’s compact custom IoT panel installed at site. |
NETWORK | Cellular Transmission -> Internet -> Cloud Data is transmitted wirelessly over the 4G network to Minerva’s YAVA cloud server, removing the need for dedicated cabling or local servers. |
USER | YAVA IoT Cloud Platform -> Web Dashboard + Mobile App Operators and managers view live status, historical logs and alerts through the YAVA web dashboard or mobile app on any device. |
Minerva’s YAVA IoT Cloud powers the system with monitoring, diagnostics and reporting tools that can be used through a browser or mobile device. Users can view data from the web dashboard or from the mobile app.
Shows device locations on a live map with a current connectivity summary, giving operators an immediate overview after login.
A Device Status page provides connection diagnostics for each IoT edge device, making offline or faulty units easier to identify.
Displays live values for every monitored point, including pump run/stop status, trip/fault states and tank or sump level alarms.
Allows users to select a parameter and date range to review logged history for trend checks, incident review and operating analysis.
Log reports can be configured and exported for records, compliance documentation or operational audits.
Automatic SMS alerts can be sent to nominated contacts when trigger conditions are reached, such as pump trip or sump high-level alarm.
Immediate alerts for pump trips, faults and abnormal tank or sump levels help operators act before minor issues become flooding, downtime or equipment damage.
Pump status and tank or sump conditions can be checked from anywhere, reducing the need for routine physical site inspections.
No upfront software development or server investment is required. Users subscribe to the YAVA cloud, with hosting and upgrades included.
Minerva's custom IoT panel integrates with existing pump control panels with limited disruption and can be commissioned without major civil or electrical works.
All monitored parameters are logged continuously in the cloud, with customisable reports available for records, audits and regulatory documentation.
Cellular communication avoids the cost and inconvenience of installing new signal cables, making it practical for sites without network infrastructure.
Minerva’s Smart Pump Monitoring System is suited to installations where pump operation and tank or sump levels must be monitored remotely, including:
The system can be configured for one pump room or for multiple sites, with all connected devices visible from a single YAVA dashboard.
